My loved one had the Procedure and they seem to have forgotten certain things—for instance where we keep the sugar, and our daughter’s name.

This is a common side-effect of the Procedure. Many facets of semantic memory have a lot of, let’s say, baggage. Let’s say Quin had an abusive father named Grover. It’s easier to “delete” Grover and all its bad associations, and then just have them re-learn the name later on in the process. Practice re-learning this information. Try flashcards.

Why haven’t I met anyone who’s had the Procedure?

You probably have! A very common selection for our clients is to have very low Braggadocio when it comes to things they have purchased/status symbols. (Keep in mind this is different from Swagger and/or self-confidence and/or self-efficacy). Studies show that those who make money and keep it are those with low Status Symbol Braggadocio, so it’s not strange at all for them to not advertise it. If our calculations are correct Status Symbol Braggadocio could be largely wiped from the population in as fast as sixty years!

Is there anything that comes with all of packages? Some part of the New You that comes default?

We pride ourselves on every person leaving with a basic understanding of psychological concepts. With mental health being the number one concern on most Americans’ minds, it’s baffling how little people actually know. Knowledge leads to empathy, empathy leads to understanding, understanding leads to motivation, motivation leads to solutions.  There are certain commonalities with most of what our clients choose—low neuroticism, high IQ, low tendency toward addiction.

How is this not social engineering?

Those two words leave a bad taste in peoples’ mouths because social engineering has always been used with good intentions (to make the world better, happier) with faulty premises (e.g. the world can be made better by favoring certain races, phenotypes, ethnicities). This is psychological engineering. ProcedureCorp has no larger agenda, other than to use science to inform clients on what is most biologically fit, and allow them to choose how to move forward.

Has Science gone too far?

No!

Why does my loved one all of the sudden have a pet passion for chemistry? I.e. mixing concoctions together at all hours of the night? Buying cough syrup in bulk and saying, “just in case!”
